Complete Milestones Timeline

• 1944: Tractors India is incorporated.
• 1950: Tractors India becomes a Coles Crane Distributor.
• 1955: Tractors India goes public.
• 1960: Enters Joint Venture with Coles Cranes.
• 1962: India's first indigenously manufactured mobile crane rolls out of the company's Kamarhati plant in Calcutta.
• 1972: Coles Crane of India changes name to Indian Crane Company Ltd.
• 1976: Indian Crane Company amalgamated with Tractors India. Mr. Avijit Mazumdar takes over as Managing Director.
• 1982: Manufactures India's first rough terrain crane.
• 1985: Changes its name to become TIL Limited.
• 1988: Manufactures India's first 100-tonne truck-mounted mobile crane.
• 1994: Completes 50 years of its corporate journey. Gets ISO 9001 Material Handling Division certified by BVQI. TIL ties up with Grove USA for Rough Terrain & Truck Cranes.
• 1995: Mr. Sumit Mazumder takes over as Managing Director.
• 1996: TIL ties up with National Cranes, USA for Loader Cranes.
• 1998: TIL ties up with Manitowoc, USA for Crawler Cranes dealership.
• 2002-03: TIL is awarded the Highest Exporter's Trophy for the Eastern region by the Engineering Export Promotion Council in the capital goods category.
• 2007: 5000th crane rolls out of the Kamarhati manufacturing plant.
• 2008: Ties up with Nacco Material Handling Group (now Hyster-Yale Group) for forklifts and container handlers.
• 2009: Ties up with Astec Inc for Hot Mix Asphalt Plants, bringing road building solutions to India.
• 2010: Ties up with Astec Aggregate Mining Group, USA for Crushing & Screening Equipment.
• 2011: Inaugurates the new factory at Changual, Kharagpur, and commences phase 1 production.
• 2012: Kamarhati Plant completes 50 years of successful operations.
• 2013: TIL receives L.N. Birla Memorial Award for Corporate Excellence.
• 2016: CAT Distributorship divested and becomes part of TIPL (now Gainwell).
• 2018: TIL Limited wins Indywood CSR Excellence Awards for Best CSR Campaign in Employee Engagement.
• 2019: TIL completes 75 years of its existence on 22nd July 2019.
• 2024: Acquired by the Gainwell Group through its group entity Indocrest Defence Services Private Limited (IDSPL) and new management is appointed.
• 2024: Completes 80 years of its corporate journey.
• 2024: Successfully completes execution of 40 Heavy Duty Cargo handling RT-630 cranes for the Indian Army
• 2024: Inks Agreement With Snorkel Europe To Become S&S Partner In South Asian Region.
• 2024: Renewal Of Dealer Sales & Service Agreement (DSSA) with Hyster-Yale Asia-Pacific.
• 2024: Inaugurates modern, well-ventilated facility featuring cutting-edge technology & ERP-enabled system at Dankuni parts warehouse
• 2024: Granted patent for the unique design of PIXEF Crane
• 2024: Participates in Bauma ConExpo 2024
• 2025: Rolls out 400th Hyster-ReachStacker from Kharagpur facility.
• 2025: New High-capacity Hyster Forklift Trucks made available in India
• 2025: Forms a dedicated Strategic Business Unit (SBU) called 'TIL Defence'.
• 2025: Wins over ₹200 crore orders from CONCOR
